Hey Everyone, It's been a long time since my last blog post. I just wanna give you guys a recap of what has been happening in my life. I worked at Camp ABK for a couple weeks in the summer and just came back from Youth Camp there. Now I am living in North Bay to study Broadcasting - TV & Video Production at Canadore College. I am going to be starting school next week.

Also in an important update, Revolution Radio has decided to switch up the music playlist a bit. Before the Radio would just play pretty much every song, which was good but was lowering listener interest. Starting a couple weeks ago, the Radio has switched to play all the hit/popular songs and hopes in doing this it will increase listener & viewer interest.

As well, more information about Revolution Radio Hardcore will be released in the coming weeks. Starting college will hopefully not slow down things, as me and fellow staff member Kyle Olar will be starting College this year.

Thanks.

No, I don't necessarily mean blogging - I mean the forums are back, after quite a long downtime. Longer than we expected, at least.

But that's all I have to say. I'm too exhausted to explain or go on. Maybe I'll make another post sometime soon about the new layout we might be getting?

On June 6th, some people from our Church's youth group (including me) got the privelege to travel down to Toronto to see Hillsong United at the Molson Amphitheater for Christian Heritage Day. It was such an amazing experience seeing Hillsong United for the first time - their performance was everything that everyone had described it to be - amazing!

We also had the chance to see This Beautiful Republic (for the second time, woohoo!) and Group 1 Crew. We missed out on seeing Manafest, but we got him, and Group 1 Crew, to make promotions for Revolution Radio/RevTV! It turned out to be a great success -- We now have promos from Family Force 5, This Beautiful Republic, Riley Armstrong, Wavorly, KJ-52, Manic Drive, Manafest and Group 1 Crew!

It's always exciting to see Revolution Radio progressing like it is now! It's also great to be graduating from high school in a week! Get ready, and stay tuned, because we've got some great new things planned for Revolution Radio's future!

TC back as a DJ?

Hey everyone, I was just thinking how fun it used to be to DJ. I am going to ask the rest of the staff about it and see if they mind. All I have to do is get Winamp and Shoutcast set up again..well I might have to get all my music organized too.

Also, I just talked to Olar a little bit about making podcasts, but I'm not sure if it is going to happen because we talked about it last year and it didn't seem to happen. If it does happen I'm sure it will be on the homepage.

I had to get at least one blog on here because Olar, Grass and I don't know about Dave all have. So hopefully I'll update everyone soon on what the deal is going to be. Make sure to stay tuned in to Revolution Radio, keep watching RevTV and stay up to date with the forums. K seeya.

Please

In recent news, we set up a new Revolution Radio webshop where you'll be able to buy t-shirts and other cool clothes and accessories. You can get to the shop by going to:
http://www.revolutionradio.ca/shop
Currently, we only have a few shirts, but we'll be adding more as time passes, so keep your eye on it!

In the past few weeks, the Forums have been thriving--with quite a few new members, and some good discussions going on.

Lately I've been working on a bunch of stuff that doesn't really matter to you guys... Well, maybe in a small way, but not very much anyways. I've been working pretty hard on fixing up the backend for Revolution Radio. You probably won't notice much difference.

As for stuff that does matter to you, I talked to Dave and we discussed adding a better music news system, where instead of just showing you the article on the side of the website, you could click to see more of the article, and then from there, you could view a full story along with the older news. I've also been thinking about, as Olar briefly mentioned in the last post, a new website for just RevTV, so we could divide things up a bit.

Anyways, I don't really have a lot to talk about, and I just figured I should fill you guys in on what's been going on lately, so tune in regularly, join the forums, and keep rocking!

Spring Folly 2009 was a huge success! Revolution Radio's name got around thanks to the viral advertising techniques of the RR staff and forum community. We got to the event early, put up many posters, handed out many free t-shirts to willing promoters and even plugged the logo on the overhead projector in the meeting hall, that's right, we have hookups. The name was so consistently shoved in people's faces and bashed into their minds, there's NO WAY they didn't find out about us, some people even asked what the heck Revolution Radio was! WOW! We even got an endorsement from the performing band on Saturday, Manic Drive! (and got some sweet live footage)

They seemed THRILLED to be part of the cause!
The concert rocked by the way, you can find photos of it on our Flickr and Dave will be gradually adding footage of the show to his personal YouTube account. The staff decided to bring an inflatable monkey covered with RR stickers and toss it around in the mosh pit. Someone got a hold of it and threw it at Michael Cavallo's face. He seemed a little upset at first but decided to keep the monkey after he held it up like Simba from the Lion King and named it Petrie. After the band hit the road, we raided the stage only to find Petrie the Monkey abandoned behind the curtains. Jerks...
But don't worry, next time we see Manic Drive, and we will see them again, Petrie and Michael will be reunited.

We also got to witness the talented and funny Riley Armstrong perform a wonderful acoustic set with a loop-pedal. Riley was pulled out of his comfort zone to talk to us about Christ all weekend and share some of his personal experiences and advice. This is not something that this professional musician is used to but he did a fantastic job! Riley is a very good, charismatic speaker.

And now for an exclusive, hush-hush, secret news update for the very few people (if any) that view this blog. Some brief discussion about a possible redesign of the Revolution Radio website was discussed in a staff meeting shortly after the events of Spring Folly. This is in early planning and no official decisions have been made yet, but this could possibly mean adapting the website to Web 2.0 and maybe splitting the site into two sub-domains for RevRadio and RevTV.

Remember to follow this blog to find out more.
